The project comprised the refurbishment and fit out of the basement to form a new Council Chamber, including the stripping out of the existing Chamber’s fixtures, re-decoration, the formation of two large roof lights and associated works. The formation of the roof lights created a light open space, flooded with natural light. Associated works included the formation of small meeting rooms adjacent to the Council Chamber and complete refurbishment of toilet facilities. In addition, the provision of new ceilings, new flooring and carpets, decorations and new mechanical electrical installations were included in the works
